What can I expect from Bramble Bar?

Tailored Drink OptionsYou have full control over what is served at your event. From signature cocktails to a specific brand of beer, the options are fully available to you. Each package has the option to add-on an extra signature cocktail or keg of craft beer/tea, so you don't need to feel confined. Do you have specific recipes you like to follow for your favourite drinks? Only want your Caesars served spicy? Like your white wine chilled? Want to be fully hands off and have us make all the decisions? Let us know!3. Garnish and GlasswareWe provide all necessary service items such as garnish, syrups, cups of varying sizes, napkins, and ice. We love to be creative! We're happy to chat about adding on customizations such as specific flavour syrups, stemmed cups, and even custom napkins or wine labels. 4. Full-Service Set-up and Pack-upComplete bar set-up before the event and efficient cleanup afterward. We typically require about 2 hours of set-up on-site prior to the service start time and about an hour to pack up. We are totally self contained, which means we don't need power or water hookups. This lets us be able to access to almost any location!5. Alcohol Purchasing GuidanceWe work with you to provide experienced advice on selecting and estimating alcohol and mixer quantities to match your guest count. We will work together to make an order list for you to purchase and can suggest local liquor stores with large event return policies, so that nothing goes to waste.

Do you offer non-alcoholic options?

Yes! We are absolutely happy serve NA options at your event. We can suggest a variety of NA canned options to be ordered, serve mocktails, and/or do an entire dry-bar service!Lemonades, coffees, dirty sodas, and kombuchas - we can serve whatever you fancy!

Where are you located and will you travel?

We are based in Lacombe AB and are happy to travel across Central Alberta. Alberta has so many gorgeous event locations to offer, so we understand if your event is farther away. To account for gas and extra wear on the trailer, a milage fee applies for locations greater than 50km from Lacombe.

How are costs decided?

Our pricing is tailored to your event. Here's how it works:Choose Your Package – Select from our range of service packages to suit your event's needs.Decide on your add-ons – Would you like a few extra hours of service? An extra bartender or signature cocktail? Service at the trailer and inside the venue? Let us know your choices and we can work with them!Get Your Quote – Pricing is based on factors like your guest count, hours of service, chosen package, travel distance, and add-ons. We always do our best to make sure things are as transparent as possible and will gladly work with you and your budget to bring Bramble Bar to your event. How does permitting work? Do I need a liquor licence for my event?

In Alberta, you need a private special event licence (SEL) to sell or provide liquor at:Private events: Open to invited guests and members only (e.g. weddings, family reunions, birthdays)Public events: Open to anyone (e.g. festivals, beer garden, concerts) AGLC recommends you apply for your private special event licence at least 14 days prior to your event and that you check municipal requirements if the event is on municipal property. If you are hosting at a paid-for venue, they will general walk you through obtaining a SEL. The permit holder is responsible for ensuring compliance. While you handle the liquor purchase and SEL, we’ll collaborate to create your drink menu and assist with your liquor order.You can review the AGLC website here for more information.

Question 6

What timelines can I expect?

We typically prefer to be booked a minimum of 3 months prior to an event. However, please get in contact with us about your date and we will absolutely do our best to make it work!Once we have secured a date with you, you can expect to schedule calls with us approximately two months and one month out from your event. These calls will allow us to get to know you and your event, ensure the alcohol and mixers get selected and ordered, confirm any specific details, and walk through the cost for the event. You are welcome to email us at any time. Once details of the event are decided and the costs have been finalized, 40% of the payment is to be paid a minimum of two weeks before the event and the remaining 60% is to be paid before we leave the event venue.
